Lockers with content verification: what is checked?
A locker can record who has opened a compartment. To also obtain information about the item stored, additional content verification is required.

Checking with RFID
An item equipped for the purpose is recognised via its RFID identification. This allows the system to establish which registered tag is present.
With an RFID minibox, the minibox is recognised. The individual items inside it are not automatically identified as a result.
Checking by weight
Weight check compares the measured mass with a set reference and tolerance. A deviation may indicate incomplete or different contents.
This checks the weight. It does not in itself establish which device has been returned, whether it works properly or how much battery charge it has.
Charging is a separate function
A suitable charging facility can be built in for the devices concerned. The choice of charging and the choice of content verification are made separately.
